Jonah Joshua Simon

With over 47 years in Singapore’s environmental and waste management sectors, J.J. Simon served in the Ministry of Environment and NEA, leading initiatives like privatized waste collection, the National Recycling Programme, and waste storage improvements. He pioneered standards like SS EN 840 and helped upgrade industry professionalism via WSQ courses. After retiring in 2021, he established Enviro Audit and Solutions Pte Ltd and served as Acting Executive Director of WMRAS. Currently, as Senior Industry Transformation Advisor at SBF, he guides waste companies in transformation efforts under ESG pillars. He is recognized with multiple awards and is an expert in waste management, consultancy, and environmental standards.
